My goals in all of my editions is to find music which you can’t stop playing, and also to include music which has not been previously been published. That has been and continues to be my goal. So my hope is that you will not be able to stop playing these pieces, and in turn, if you are playing for anyone, they will take the time to tell you how much they enjoy them. For me, this is what music is all about. Not how fast a piece can be played, but how much you enjoy playing it and how much the listener is pleased with the results. When you hear a performer, one often thinks “Wow, that is fast, they are amazing.” When you hear a musician you are more inclined to think “Wow, that is beautiful.” Then, it’s not about the player, it’s about the music.
